NHS Reorganisations

The Health and Care Act was passed in 2022. It puts the new 42 regional Integrated Care Services (ICS) on a statutory basis and is a route to rationing and privatisation of health and social care. It will replace national standards of care, wage and staffing conditions with regional agreements. It places private companies in powerful positions in the Integrated Care Boards, meaning that the private sector is not only in a position to win more contracts but will also be determining the type and level of care provided.

The South East London ICB covers the the six borough of: Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark, and a population of over 2 million people.
